Meet Donna Parkhurst

I’m Donna Parkhurst: integrative wellness coach, Parkinson’s advocate, clean living educator, and the founder of Moved by Parkinson’s.

In November 2025, at age 51, I was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s disease. Like many people who receive a life-changing diagnosis, I found myself navigating a flood of questions, emotions, and uncertainty about what the future might hold.

But what I discovered quickly was that many people living with Parkinson’s feel isolated, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn for practical guidance and encouragement.

That realization is what led me to begin sharing my journey publicly.

Today, my work focuses on helping people living with Parkinson’s navigate this disease with clarity, resilience, and hope.

As I began learning more about Parkinson’s, I discovered that women are often underrepresented in research, misdiagnosed, or diagnosed later than men. Hormonal changes during midlife can also complicate symptoms and make diagnosis more challenging.

Because of this, I often speak openly about the unique challenges women may face when navigating Parkinson’s.

However, something beautiful has happened along the way.

As I’ve shared my experience, I’ve heard from men and caregivers who say they also feel seen and encouraged by these conversations.

That’s something I deeply value.

This community has naturally grown into a space that supports anyone living with Parkinson’s or walking alongside someone who is.

My Approach

My work blends lived experience with evidence-informed wellness practices that support brain health, nervous system regulation, and overall resilience.

Here you’ll find conversations around:

• Parkinson’s education and awareness
• navigating invisible symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, and brain fog
• practical wellness strategies
• emotional resilience and stress management
• advocacy and raising awareness
• clean beauty and low-toxic living

My goal is not to offer quick fixes or unrealistic promises.

It’s to provide grounded support, honest conversation, and practical tools that help people continue living meaningful, vibrant lives.

A Personal Note

Before my diagnosis, I spent many years advocating for healthier living through clean beauty and wellness education. My passion for living well didn’t disappear with Parkinson’s. If anything, it became even more meaningful.

I believe that even in the face of uncertainty, we still have the opportunity to care for our bodies, nurture our resilience, and support one another.

And I believe no one should have to navigate this journey alone.

My Mission

Through education, advocacy, and community, my mission is simple:

To help people navigate Parkinson’s without losing themselves.

Whether you are living with Parkinson’s, supporting someone who is, or simply searching for encouragement and trustworthy information, YOU are welcome here.
